DESCRIPTION: Enrofloxacin (quinolone flurinate) is a broad-spectrum synthetic chemotherapeutic that attacks Gram-positive, Gram-negative bacteria and mycoplasmas, it does not present cross-resistance with antibiotics. It is rapidly absorbed and distributed in the body 30 minutes after its application, reaching high bactericidal levels for a period of 24 hours, which translates into rapid and economic recovery of sick animals. ENFLOXIL 10% INJECTABLE¨ controls bacteria that cause different diseases in cattle such as: Gram positive bacteria: Corynebacterium pyogenes, Corynebacterium spp, Listeria monocytogenes, Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus zooepidemicus, Clostridium perfringens. Gram negative bacteria: E. coli, Haemophilus somnus, Pasteurella haemolytica (Mannhemia), Pasteurella multocida, Salmonella spp, Pseudomona spp, Proteus spp, Campylobacter spp, Acti noba cillus lignieresii, Bacteroides spp. Mycoplasmas: Mycoplasma bovis, Mycoplasma bovi genitalium, Ureaplasma sp.
MECHANISM OF ACTION: The product is quickly absorbed and distributed in 1 or 2 hours, providing therapeutic levels in the body that last for more than 24 hours. INDICATIONS: The product is indicated for the control and treatment of cattle with bacterial infections located in the respiratory, digestive, genitourinary tract, and in processes of systemic manifestation. DOSE: Beef and dairy cattle: 1-2 mL for every 40 kg of body weight. 2.5-5 mg kg 3-5 days. Broilers, laying hens, fighting cocks and turkeys: 1 mL per 40 kg body weight. Pigs: 2.5-5 mg/kg 3-5 days. Dogs/cats: 5 mg/kg 5-10 days. Chickens: 50 mg/L of water 3-5 days. Normal treatment: 1 mL for every 40 kg of body weight every 24 hours, at least three applications to avoid the formation of resistant strains. Treatment in severe cases: Start with a loading dose of 1 mL for every 20 kg of body weight; then continue with the dose of 1 mL for every 40 kg of body weight every 24 hours according to the criteria of the Veterinary Zootechnician. Treatment through the intrauterine route: Dissolve 5 mL of the product in 100 mL of distilled water and apply through the uterine route as many times as the Veterinarian recommends.
ROUTE OF ADMINISTRATION: Subcutaneous or intramuscular.
WARNINGS: Do not apply more than 5 mL in the same place. Do not use this product 28 days before the slaughter of animals intended for human consumption. The meat of the treated animals should not be consumed until 5 days after the last treatment. Do not consume the milk of the treated animals until 4 days after the last treatment.
