FLORTIFEN 20% blocks protein synthesis by binding to the 50 S portion of the ribosome inhibiting peptidyl transferase activity resulting in bacterial death.
INDICATION:
In broilers, replacement pullets for the treatment of Escherichia coli, Pasteurella multocida, Mannhemia haemolytica, Avibacterium sp., Haemophilus sp., Streptococcus sp., Staphylococcus sp. infections.
In pigs for the treatment of diseases produced by Pasteurella sp, Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae, Haemophilus sp.
ROUTE OF ADMINISTRATION:
Oral, dissolved in drinking water.
DOSAGE:
In poultry: It should be administered in the drinking water, in doses of 20 to 30 mg/kg of weight for 3 - 5 consecutive days. Pre-dilution of the product should be carried out, ensuring homogenization in the water. In practice ½ g / liter of water.
In Pigs: Administer at a rate of 10 g of florfenicol 20% per 10 liters of drinking water. With this amount treat 10 pigs per day with a live weight of 10 kg (provides 20 mg per kg of live weight) for 7 consecutive days, or at the discretion of the veterinarian.
