Uses – Active Principle
Product description
COMPOSITION:
Each mL contains:
Enrofloxacin 100mg
Vehicle c.s.p. 1.0mL
INDICATIONS:
In broilers, replacement pullets and turkeys, Enrovet ® 10% is active against most of the germs that
they commonly affect birds, their spectrum of action includes: E. coli, Haemophilus spp., Pasteurella spp.,
Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Staphylococcus spp., as well as Mycoplasmas and Haemophilus paragallinarum.
MECHANISM OF ACTION:
The action of Enrofloxacin is the inhibition of bacterial DNA gyrase, or Topoisomerase II, an enzyme that modifies the
Double stranded DNA introducing super helical folds facilitating the unwinding of the strands. the dna
Bacterial gyrase, has two subunits encoded in the GyrA gene that act by separating the chains of the
bacterial chromosome and then sticking them together once the supercoil has formed, quinolones inhibit these
subunits preventing replication and transcription of bacterial DNA. Thus, the inhibition of these processes will generate
the blocking of multiple cellular functions, many of them vital, hence the bactericidal nature of Enrovet ® 10%
oral solution.
ADMINISTRATION:
Enrovet ® 10% oral solution is administered in drinking water.
* The therapeutic concentration of 50 ppm is achieved by diluting 100 mL of Enrovet ®
10% oral solution, in 200 liters
of water, equivalent to 1 mL for every 2 liters of drinking water.
DOSAGE:
10 mg / Kg of weight. It should be administered as the only drinking water for 3-5 days.
Dropper bottle, supply two drops per kg of weight, for 3-5 days.
WITHDRAWAL TIME:
